Great selections and awesome customer service! Josh helped me with the purchase of a new front door and when I got home I realized it was a right swing instead of a left swing. Even though they say no refunds or exchanges they did make the exchange for me; however I had to pick out a different style since they didn't have the door I selected with the left swing. I was there to pick up 4 railroad ties. It was pretty busy in there but they were pretty organized with how they took care of their customers. Oscar helped us get them in the truck. He was helping another customer before us but he immediately made his way to us after he was finished. Got our truck loaded quickly and safely. Oscar was really working his butt off. My husband and I purchased two bathroom vanities, granite tops and faucets on 5/4/20, with the assistance of Akiel. He was very patient, helpful and he didn't leave our sides until we decided which ones to get, and the price was great also! Once we got them home and professionally installed in each bathroom. By the way, we decided to add handles and knobs too to add a little extra flair! I was so happy and pleased with how much better they looked in our home as opposed to on display at the store. I am super happy we decided to go and shop there, and we will definitely return for all of our home improvement needs!!!!! read more

Wow! What a selection and I can't rave enough about the customer service experience. I never thought updating doors in our whole house would be such a difficult process, but after countless negative experiences elsewhere, we were so happy to find this place with the friendliness, knowledge and expertise of each person we worked with. I see the sign for Builder's Supply on my way to work each day so when we decided to update our space this year, including new exterior doors, I dropped in to see if there were any options at Builder's Supply. I felt a little overwhelmed by the large inventory and then as luck would have it, I found Howard, or rather he found me wandering clueless among the doors. Our office is in an old home with odd sizes and Howard was able to guide me through the process with great options, even discussing how things could be customized if needed. He was not only patient with me, answering so many questions, his experience and excellent customer service helped me navigate every decision and resulted in the perfect doors for our update. Our space looks amazing and we get so many compliments on the doors. Everyone at Builder Supply was helpful and courteous, but I would hands down recommend Howard, he's a the kind of professional you hope to meet when you need guidance. Usually for such a big investment or purchase there is a little bit of buyers remorse but I have absolutely no apprehension about my decision. I went into Builders Surplus and was immediately greeted by James Brown and felt like I was right at home. There was no sloppy sales pitch, or push to get a particular door. It was personal and truly a customized experience. He asked do you know your dimensions or did I have a photo of my house, in which I did. He knew just from the photo, exactly what measurements my door was and what area of the store I needed to be directed too. I stayed in the store for roughly an hour and twenty minutes trying to determine what would fit best with my homes design style. James constantly checked back in with me to make sure I didn't need any assistance and the moment I did he has the answer. Well besides telling me which door I should get when I asked, (lol) he refrained by stating his style may not match mine but if it was his house... Well I took him up on that professional opinion and purchased the door that he would have purchased for his house and It was 1000000% the right and most optimal decision I could have made for my home. He recommended an installer in which name was Tony on their preferred vendors list at the store and 48 hours later my new door has now been installed and has given my home a face lift. Without this expertise and confidence from the moment I stepped into the store, I'm certain I would still be online second guessing my selections and never committing to a purchase. A few months ago I visited the Atlanta location where I'd been assisted over the past 8-10 months by Thomas in search of a door (no specific door in mind, but a vague idea. I mainly knew I'd know it when I saw it and it would grab my attention). On this day THE DOOR I'd been searching for was there and caught my eye. I grabbed the last one and was assisted by Howard who held the door until I could return for pick up. We were lucky enough to be there on a day they were having a sale and he happily took us to the back to look thru every door they had available! When I found the door that I loved I wasn't 100% sure it would fit so we ran back to the house to measure really quick. By the time we got back to Builders Surplus Howard was there waiting with our door pulled out for me to look at all sides of it. That doesn't seem like a big feat, but I bought the biggest and heaviest door I think they had in the place! It took 10 guys to put it on the truck! Also, Earl and several other employees happily helped us all throughout our time there. I've been looking for a bathroom vanity with a countertop for months. One visit to Builders Surplus and with Chad DeSilva's help, I finally found exactly what I'd been looking for. Chad was patient and never made me feel rushed while a looked through my options. And there are a lot of options. He has a wealth of knowledge about the products and even helped me make my selections. We went through numerous vanities and switched out different tops until I was satisfied with my choice. Chad brought everything to the front for payment and then got everything into my vehicle without a scratch. I told him I was going back in to look at the flooring and that's when he told me that flooring was actually his department. I spent another 30 minutes looking over my options and being educated as to what would work best in my basement. Chad is a great asset to Builders Surplus. When I first discovered this place, I knew it was a 'gold mine' of materials and products. After having visited a dozen times, I have realized the 'gold mine' is all about the staff. The warehouse is overwhelming to the average home owner. Hard to know where to start! The greatest deal is with the staffers, as they have been assigned a specialty area and know almost exactly what is in their inventory.My latest visit was with Jared, to purchase four entry doors, which they will custom build for me. My room addition has 2" x 6" wall studs, and the door jam needed to be specially made. Jared, also include the "mini blinds between the full length glass kit'. Thanks to Jared's expertise, I walked out with a receipt for the four doors I needed, and I will be back in less than a week to pick them up for my new construction. I came out at almost exactly 1/2 the price given me on a commercial builder bid from the big box store! I highly recommend shopping Builder's Surplus-Atlanta for all building materials, and if you are looking for doors, ask for Jared! He is tenaciously thorough looking through the inventory to find the very best materials for his customers. read more

My husband and I went to Builders Surplus-Atlanta to purchase cabinets for our basement bathroom (I have 3 bathrooms to update). Maria sat with us until we were satisfied. We liked it so much, we went back up to purchase a cabinet for our hall bathroom. Maria wasn't there but Brittany helped us and she was just as great. The house we bought is 47 years old. We had purchased two medicine cabinet with mirrors. Our workers ran into some pipes which made it impossible to install the medicine cabinets. I called Maria and she was able to get permission for us to return them and get store credit. Normally, you can't return them because they are custom products. When I went to return the medicine cabinets, I just happened to get the store manager, Cameron. Cameron knew I was working with Maria. He walked me to her desk where we got the paperwork for the return and ordered new mirrors. Maria had customers with her, but I felt like had priority. I will definitely be going back for cabinets for the master bedroom. read more
